A Night To Remember is an annual fundraising event to support the work of the Southeastern Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. It is a fun filled evening that offers great food, a silent auction, door prizes, raffles and the music of acoustic rock/folk trio BIG WIDE GRIN (Elaine Dempsey, L.E. Lambert and Karl Werne) with special guest, NPR Composer - BJ Leiderman.

This years event, Breaking Down The Wall, is set for August 15, 2009.

Last years event, Rock’n For A Cure was August 16, 2008, where we raised over $4000. Hampton Roads own John Shomby, program director for MaxMedia, participated in A Night To Remember 2008 and shared his personal experience as a caregiver. We were also pleased to include the talents of BJ Leiderman, a local award winning composer.

While A Night To Remember is a fundraising event, it is more so an annual tribute to those individuals and families who live with Alzheimer’s disease every day. We would like to extend a thank you to all those who participated and helped to raise over $4,000 in 2008 to support the efforts of the local chapter. So please check back for more information on the 10th Annual A Night To Remember in 2009 and together we can provide help for today and hope for tomorrow for those who battle Alzheimer’s.
